Types of data offered by ZIP Code Download

ZIP Code Download has ZIP code data to fit many different business needs. All of our ZIP code data is obtained from official sources and is as up-to-date as possible. We have 5-digit ZIP code data, ZIP+4 data, Multi-county ZIP code data, CBSA data, 6-digit Canadian postal code data. Along with our ZIP code data products, we have programming tools and desktop applications.

The 5-digit ZIP code data includes the codes that most citizens are familiar with. The premium and commercial databases also include latitude and longitude coordinates, which are very useful for calculating the radius and distance with ZIP code data. The databases also include data such as cities, states, area codes, MSA codes, etc. For customers who also want the CBSA codes, these are available in our CBSA ZIP code data product. All our databases can be combined.

The ZIP+4 data products include the 5-digit ZIP code data, but it also includes the four digit code that is rarely used for non-business purposes. Businesses are interested in using ZIP+4 data for many reasons, one of which is getting discounts on mailings they send out. This ZIP code data will also include street names and numbers, congressional districts, etc.

Most of our ZIP code data products only include the primary county for a ZIP code. For customers who want all the counties in a ZIP code, we have the Multi-County ZIP code data product.
