ZIP Code Directory

The ZIP Code Directory published by the USPS

Until recently, the United States Postal Service has published a ZIP Code Directory in book form. Currently the USPS has this announcement on its website:

"Printed copies of the Publication 65, National 5-digit ZIP Code and Post Office Directory and Publication 66, ZIP+4 Code State Directory have been discontinued. This valuable information is now available in the AIS Viewer. The AIS Viewer is an interactive CD-ROM designed to provide the ability to retrieve, view, and print accurate and current ZIP Code Information for all 50 states on demand."

A printed ZIP Code Directory is getting more and more difficult to find. The main reason is that this information is much easier to use in an electronic format. Since more and more companies are discovering this, it makes less and less sense to publish it in book form.
